For Home Federal Customers:

 

When will the merger take place?

The merger process will be completed in two (2) phases. The actual merger is currently scheduled to occur on March 18, 2014. On March 19, 2014, all Town Square Bank offices will have lobby signage and banners announcing Town Square Bank, a Division of Home Federal Savings & Loan Association. All documentation that is handed to a customer will reflect the new name of Home Federal Savings & Loan Association.

 

The second phase of the merger will be the conversion of Town Square Bank accounts from our current data processing system to Home Federal's data processing system, Fiserv. This is scheduled to occur starting at 5:00 p.m. on June 6, 2014 and will be completed by opening of business Monday, June 9, 2014.

 

What will happen to my Home Federal bank accounts?

As of this time there will be no changes , however we are completeing account studies which may produce changes going forward. We are analyzing the current account features of all products with the anticipation of maintaining the most positive product offerings of the two organizations.

 

Will my FDIC Insurance be effected?

If you have deposit accounts at both Home Federal and Town Square, your deposits will
continue to be separately insured by the FDIC to the maximum extent allowed by law for a period of six months after the date of our acquisition of Town Square, with special rules for certificates of deposit.

 

Can Home Federal customers go to Town Square branches on March 19, 2014 and access their account?

No. Home Federal customers will need to only use existing Home Federal banking offices to access their Home Federal account until after the data processing system conversion is completed. This applies to all Town Center accountholders as well. They are to utilize their existing Town Square branches to conduct their banking activity until the data processing system conversion is complete. Data processing system conversion is to
be complete on June 9, 2014.

 

What will happen to the Home Federal banking offices?

Home Federal will continue to operate a fullservice banking office in every community
currently served by Home Federal. However, both Home Federal and Town Square have offices in Ashland and Cannonsburg, and it would be inefficient for us to operate two branches so close to each other in the same community. Therefore, after the merger of the operations the current Town Square Bank office in Ashland will be consolidated into the Home Federal office in Ashland on Carter Avenue. Similarly, the current Home Federal office in Summit will be consolidated into the Town Square Bank office in Cannonsburg on US Rt. 60.

 

Important dates for the branch consolidations...

March 19, 2014-Merger of Home Federal Savings and Loan and Town Square Bank. All
Town Square Bank branches will change name to Town Square Bank a Division of Home Federal Savings & Loan Association.

in Ashland and Home Federal location at 6628 US Rt. 60 in Cannonsburg.

 

Will the banking hours at any of the branch
offices be changed?

YES – for the better! Beginning June 2, 2014 the hours will be:

What about the Home Federal employees?

The combination of two local organizations naturally resulted in the duplication of required employee positions. Consequently, we will experience a limited number of position reductions. However, by the use of hiring freezes, unplanned resignations, early retirement selections, and a volunteer severance plan provided great assitance to
our process.

 

The reductions were kept to a minimum in both orgranizations. Ralph E. "Gene" Coffman Jr. will remain as President CEO of our holding company, Poage Bankshares Inc., as well as CEO of our subsidiary institution Home Federal. Bruce Vanhorn Town Square Banks current President will be joining our staff as President of Home Federal.
